I love collecting vintage t shirts. I’m a classic rock fanatic so I pretty much try to get every band’s t-shirt that I can. My collection includes Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Boston, Cream, Bowie, Elton John, Queen, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, The Grateful Dead, The Who and probably a bunch more than I can’t really remember right now. I’ve paid anywhere from a dollar at a garage sale to two hundred bucks at a vintage clothing store. The problem is that, nowadays, there are so many retro t-shirts that are either reproductions or reprints, that it’s hard to find truly vintage shirts. I do actually have a collection of the retro shirts as well but I mainly stick to the vintage band t-shirts. Anytime I attend a concert I’ll pick up a t-shirt at the merch stand. Sometimes this can get quite costly but I think in the long run it’s worth having the shirts. A few weeks ago I really screwed up. I was drinking some red wine and spilled it on a white band shirt I was wearing. I couldn’t get the stain treated in time so that was goodbye to that shirt.
